The Gift of Help

If you pay close attention you will see that many women give their time to help others on a regular basis. It can be as small as tying a child’s shoe, to encouraging another in the Faith. It could be total stranger and true satisfaction will come upon a woman who carries the Gift of Help.

Sometimes we get tired; but we can’t escape the fact that God has placed this attribute within our DNA. Did He not create the first woman {Eve} to be a helpmate unto Adam?

In Genesis 2: 18 (NIV): The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”

Eve was called to be a “Helper” first. Think it not strange that we are designed to be the same way. Isn’t it funny how little girls can pick up on the need to help others? I’ve seen children at a very tender age, study someone and act on the kindness of their heart in hopes to brighten up their day. It’s a natural thing that takes place in our lives.

We are called to help. We are called to support others and carry the burdens of life with others to help bring them into a better place.

1 Corinthians 12:27-28 : 27 Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. 28 And God has placed in the church first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, of helping, of guidance, and of different kinds of tongues.

This is very important. People need us more than we think.

Tabitha {Dorcas, a disciple} had this gift and she was always doing good and helping the poor. She made such an impact on the people around her that when she died, others were grieved to the point of tears and they were moved in their hearts to call on Peter to pray her back to life. – Acts 9:36

In this New Year, let’s embrace the gift of helps even the more. Many people are lost and dying because life took them to a place that they could not imagine. Let us be like Peter and bring someone back to life. Let us be the helping hand that people desperately need.

This gift can bring a sense of hope, joy, peace and even strength to others. In turn, allowing them to be healed, they too can help others knowing deep down inside, God was looking out for them when they really needed it.

Be the help that God created you to be in 2020.

Galatians 6: 1- [ Doing Good to All ] Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

Galatian 6:9 - 9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
