Many people are questioning God’s motives, many people are wondering what’s going on in the world today? Why are things happening? This has caused people to think about some things, to re-evaluate their heart. Now is the time for us to have a personal moment with God. He’s waiting for us to share our heart with Him. Why do you think the Father is waiting to talk to His Children? Because He loves and cares about His people and many are wondering does He really? With all this turmoil, how can I believe this?
Let’s talk about the plan of Salvation. What does this really mean?
The Dictionary tells us Salvation means: Preservation or deliverance from harm, ruin, or loss. Preservation means the action of preserving something which means protection, safeguarding, sustaining, upholding
Theology tells us Salvation means: Deliverance from sin and its consequences by faith in Christ.
The biblical definition of Salvation means: Salvation in Christianity, or deliverance or redemption, is the "saving [of] human beings from death and separation from God" by Christ's death and resurrection.
Notice in all three definitions the word "deliverance" is used to describe salvation and deliverance is the action of being rescued or set free.
If you put all three of these definitions together, this is what you would get…
Salvation means: "Protecting or rescuing us {setting us free} from harm, ruin or loss, from what? Sin and its consequences by faith in Jesus Christ, redeeming us from error or evil, saving us from death and separation from God by Christ’s death and resurrection."
Let’s talk about sin and it’s consequences.
The bible teaches us about sin {what happens when we live in sin} This is how you can know that the Word is true. The bible has every real life situations that we could ever face on this earth or in this lifetime and it proves itself to be true. If your honest, once you start reading the word it ministers to your heart and you can understand it because of your personal experience or you can identify truth by you seeing what has happened in someone else’s life and you’re able to pull on that wisdom, the knowledge that the Word reveals.
This is awesome because we can't escape the truth and even though people have a hard time believing the Word, truth will catch up to you for sure. You will never, ever be able to escape the truth. God loves you enough to reveal the truth to allow for you to make your own decision about the truth but the enemy comes and steals the truth and it’s up to us, to fight the enemy to hold on to the salvation that God has given us.
Why do you think the enemy comes to steal the truth from the world? Because he knows how valuable the truth is, he knows the truth will deliver us, causing us to follow God with every part of our being and he can’t have that because he wants the honor, he wants the power but God has the final say. This plan of Salvation is so real.
Scriptures tell us “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God- Romans 3:23 KJV
This means none of us are perfect, we will stumble and we will fall but we have to come to an understanding that we need to be saved. We know we didn’t create ourselves, we know there’s a power that is higher than us that created the heavens and the earth and this God [Almighty God]. God didn’t create the heavens and the earth just to see if He could do it, no. He created a whole plan and included every little detail to get us back to Him. He’s an Architect [a planner, builder, designer, draftsmen] and He created this wonderful plan of salvation through His Son Jesus to save us from the hand of the enemy, allowing us to sit in heavenly places with Him once again.
God created us in His image. He spoke purpose into our lives and now we have to walk it out. We have to fulfill that purpose that God created us for and our destiny is tied through the Salvation of the Lord.
In this plan of salvation, we have to admit that we are sinners and that we need to be saved. This brings humility. Without humility we would be serving the other master [Satan] and once we accept the plan of Salvation, we change Fathers. No one is good enough to go to Heaven on his own merit. No matter how much good we do, we still fall short but grace is there bring us through, to keep us covered [perfect plan of Salvation] Ephesians 2:8-10 NIV
8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
When you understand about the grace of God, your heart changes because you know without grace, you would be held captive by the enemy and the enemy brings your torment.
In this plan of Salvation, we have to realize the penalty for sin, which is death [death represents a spiritual death] while you are alive, you will have a spiritual death because you're not alive in Christ [this would also include eternal damnation]. Once we realize the penalty, we repent for all of our sins and turn away from them.
Romans 6:23 KJV
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Another part of the Salvation plan is for you to believe that Christ died for you on the cross of Calvary. His great love for us was shown when He died on the cross to pay our sin.
Romans 5:6-8 NIV
6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
1 Peter 2:24 KJV Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
1 Peter 3:18 KJV For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit And lastly, we would receive Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour into your heart and life through prayer as we have become a true believer in Christ, receiving the Salvation of the Lord.
Everlasting life is a gift purchased by the blood of Jesus and offered freely to those who call upon Him by faith. We talked about the blood of Jesus last week and we found out that His blood that ran down the cross covers us in every way possible. His blood provides forgiveness of our sins, protection, fellowship with the Father, a New Covenant. His blood brings atonement, redemption, cleanses and purifies us, bringing us holiness before the Father, bringing us justification and giving us power over the enemy. His blood brings freedom, life and peace.
John 5:24 NIV 24 “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life. 25 Very truly I tell you, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live.
Romans 10:13 KJV For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
John 14:6 KJV
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Do you want to be saved today? Do you want to be rescued and set free from sin to live in freedom? Ask Him into your heart today and watch how your life will change.
He is the Savior of the World.
