Perspective

A question came up in a recent conversation “Why is it so hard for us to hear another perspective?”

Perspective is a particular attitude toward or way of regarding something; a point of view.

Our attitude [a settled way of thinking or feeling about someone or something, typically one that is reflected in a person's behavior] plays a big role in how we build perspectives in life.

We process information, form an opinion and draw a conclusion based off of how we feel about a particular matter.

This is a part of the war in today’s society. If you follow the current events you will see new movements created due to injustice before the full truth is revealed about the case.

Many are standing strong in their perspectives when we should stand strong in the truth.

When we carry the attitude that we know what’s right above the truth, it’s hard for us to hear another perspective that makes sense. This can cause us to walk in an unhealthy state of mind.

At this moment, many are walking in self-righteousness [having or characterized by a certainty, especially an unfounded one, that one is totally correct or morally superior].

This is scary because our perspectives can take us down the wrong path; a path that was never designed for us to take; a path of destruction.

God wants to give us healthy perspectives in life. Allow for God to have full control so that you may always remain in truth.

Psalm 15 Amplified Bible (AMP)

Description of a Citizen of Zion.

A Psalm of David.

15 O Lord, who may lodge [as a guest] in Your tent? Who may dwell [continually] on Your holy hill? 2 He who walks with integrity and strength of character, and works righteousness, And speaks and holds truth in his heart. Psalm 107:20

He sent His word and healed them, And rescued them from their destruction.
