How many of you know it’s very important for us to guard our hearts? The word "guard" means to watch over in order to protect or control.
Proverbs 4:23- Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.
In the book of Genesis chapter 6, it speaks about how God was grieved in his heart because he saw how great the wickedness of mankind had become on the earth and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time.
Genesis 6:6-The LORD regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled.
How many of you know that God doesn’t carry evil in his heart? When I used to think about this scripture {me in my own understanding} I would think, God this doesn’t seem fair that you would regret and destroy what you created but God is not filled with darkness, He’s not filled with evil. God is filled with Light, He’s filled with love. Scriptures tells us that God {Himself} is love. So isn’t it fair to say, that it would bother him to see what he created has now been perverted into darkness?
What’s happening in today’s world? Gross darkness is inside of the people, evilness is ruling the hearts, people are filled with hate and they are mocking the things of God.How many of you know that the Nation is divided right now? How many of you know that the church is divided right now? Something happened to me the other day that caused me to seek God’s face and God reminded me about the great fallen away. He said many have left their first love and are now carrying the Anti-Christ spirit and they are not aware of it.Anti-Christ spirit is a spirit that opposes God, it fights against God.
God shared with me that many of his people are being deceived and they believe they have true discernment and can hear His voice but they really are listening to another voice and they are missing what God is doing right now.Why is this happening? The condition of the heart.
