A Woman of Faith

Updated: Sep 19, 2019

Tonight I want to talk to you about becoming a Woman of Faith. A woman who believes in the One True Living God.

I want to share my heart with you at this moment. Deception is getting stronger and stronger. And who deceives? The enemy. He is the father of all lies.

Deception Rising Up

Many women are rising up in this hour speaking on behalf of "God" but if you listen to them carefully, they are NOT speaking on behalf of The Almighty God, The One True Living God, The God of Heaven and Earth. Women are rising up in power under the name of “God” but it’s for their own agenda or it’s through their own understanding. If we’re not careful, if we don’t stay close to God, we too can fall into this great deception.

A lot of women are filled with passion and they sound convincing but if you really hear the words that come out of their mouths and see the emotions they carry behind their words, you will come to discern the truth. You will come to discern there’s a mixture of the word that they are speaking on and it's not coming from the Spirit of God but from their own will and emotions. They are speaking from the "Soulish" realm ( their flesh ).

Now we’ve been speaking on the Flesh lately and what have we learned? That the Flesh wages war against God. It’s not a friend to God. Your flesh looks at God to say “and what? I'm in control.” God doesn’t want us to live in our flesh. He doesn’t want us to be tricked and deceived like Eve. He wants us to have discernment so we can know what’s right and what’s wrong. So we can determine was true and what’s false. He’s calling us to be Women of Faith.

Right now we are living in a world that is divided. You have women who are being used by the enemy very strongly. These women do not get tired. They are bold, unruly and they are strong, having an agenda to fight against God period.

Then you have women who know God but they are being led by their flesh or their emotions and they believe what they are doing is right even though they are fighting against God.

But then you have women who know the Lord, who knows His spirit, His heart, His agenda. These are Women of Faith.

What does it mean to be a Women of Faith?

A Woman of Faith calls upon the name of the Lord. She’s a Believer. She’s not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation [from His wrath and punishment] to everyone who believes [in Christ as Savior], to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

She’s confident in the Lord. She puts her faith and trust in Him.

The Lord is my strength and my [impenetrable] shield; My heart trusts [with unwavering confidence] in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I shall thank Him and praise Him.

Trust [rely on and have confidence] in the Lord and do good; Dwell in the land and feed [securely] on His faithfulness.

She’s strong in the Lord and is fully aware that she is weak in her own self.

O [God] my strength, I will watch for You; For God is my stronghold [my refuge, my protector, my high tower].

He alone is my rock and my salvation, My defense and my strong tower; I will not be shaken or disheartened.

She’s Humble, she’s teachable, she’s approachable

He leads the humble in justice, And He teaches the humble His way.

She understands the wisdom of God and holds it close to her heart. She does not lean to her own understanding.

[ Job Speaks of the Power of God ] “But [only] with Him are [perfect] wisdom and might; He [alone] has [true] counsel and understanding.

She’s righteous in all of her ways.

For the Lord knows and fully approves the way of the righteous, But the way of the wicked shall perish.

She fears the Lord.

You shall walk after the Lord your God and you shall fear [and worship] Him [with awe-filled reverence and profound respect], and you shall keep His commandments and you shall listen to His voice, and you shall serve Him, and cling to Him.

She’s a Worshiper. She knows His spirit, She knows His heart.

God is spirit [the Source of life, yet invisible to mankind], and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

She ministers to God. She will be like David, she will exalt his name.

2 Samuel 22 Amplified Bible (AMP)

David’s Psalm of Rescue

22 David spoke the words of this song to the Lord when the Lord rescued him from the hands of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul. 2 He said:

“The Lord is my rock and my fortress [on the mountain] and my rescuer; 3 [a]My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and my refuge, My Savior—You save me from violence. 4 “I call on the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, And I am saved from my enemies.

She’s a Fighter

Psalm 144:1-2 Blessed be the LORD my Rock, Who trains my hands for war, And my fingers for battle—My lovingkindness and my fortress, My high tower and my deliverer, My shield and the One in whom I take refuge, Who subdues my people under me. (ESV)

She is a praying woman. She knows her answers come straight from the throne of God.

Therefore let us [with privilege] approach the throne of grace [that is, the throne of God’s gracious favor] with confidence and without fear, so that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find [His amazing] grace to help in time of need [an appropriate blessing, coming just at the right moment].

He who overcomes [the world through believing that Jesus is the Son of God], I will grant to him [the privilege] to sit beside Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down beside My Father on His throne.

She’s is a Leader. She will lead you to Christ and not to herself. She puts herself to the side and lives for God.

This is what a Woman of Faith looks like. A strong woman who is not ashamed of the Gospel, who is humble and righteous in all of her ways, who loves the Lord, who will fight to stand in her proper position in the kingdom, who will lead you towards Christ and not lead you astray, who knows His heart, who carries His Spirit.

This is who God is calling us forth to be. A Woman of Faith!
